Join Science Academy at Bascom Library for fun, hands-on chemistry experiments for elementary and middle school kids! Today’s program is Candy Chemistry. Explore what happens to different types of candies in water.

Join Science Academy at Bascom Library for fun, hands-on chemistry experiments for elementary and middle school kids! Today’s program is: Chromatography. Learn how to separate a mixture into its different parts, based on the chemical properties of each component.

Today: Sean’s Music Factory at Bascom Library.
Sean’s Music Factory presents a fun and interactive musical performance that will bring joy to your family!
Sean provides an interactive guitar and vocal performance. He wants the whole family to sing, dance, and depending on the number of participants, use either eggs, rhythm sticks, or scarves to make music. Often, he takes ideas from the audience and he mixes traditional songs with over 40 original children’s song he has written. He also can do a handful of Spanish songs (*but only speaks in English). Kids will learn about taking care of the planet, they will learn how to have fun singing and dancing along, they will learn how to give ideas in a public setting. Families will work together in harmony making music. 45 minutes of interactive music experience.

Many origami patterns and colorful sheets of paper will be available! Make designs like a cat, whale, fish, heart, or penguin. Then decorate your origami with markers.

Today: Monthly Reading to Children with Bria at Cambrian Library
Participating in the Reading to Children program is a great way for children to develop their imagination and spark a love for books, reading, and learning. Children will enjoy one-on-one or small group interaction with our volunteer. Kids are also welcome to practice reading to our volunteer.
This is a once-a-month Reading to Children event! Hear the special voice talents of Ms. Bria!!!
