As a part of Microsoft’s Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month Programming, we are offering a number of Children’s book readings read aloud by persons from the Hispanic & Latinx community.

Join us as we listen to the book reading: Dancing Hands, by Margarita Engle & Rafael Lopez

This book tells the story of a little girl’s bravery, her musical talents, and important contribution towards equality in the arts. It’s based on the true story of Teresa Carreno, a child prodigy who played piano for Abraham Lincoln during the U.S. Civil War.

These events are designed for students K-3rd grade but are open to anyone who is interested in learning more about Hispanic & Latinx History.

As a part of Microsoft’s International Day of the Girl Celebration we are offering a number of Children’s book readings read aloud.

Join us as we listen to the book reading: My First Book of Planets: All About the Solar System, by Bruce Betts

Blast off on an exploration of our solar system―a fun space book for kids 3 to 5

Get even the smallest astronomer excited for the big universe of space, from the bright and burning sun to our own blue Earth to ice-capped Pluto and every planet in between.

With this book, kids will explore the entire solar system through incredible photos and fascinating facts on what makes each planet so special―like their size, distance from the sun, what the surface is like, how many moons they have, and more!
