Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month | Hispanic Society Museum and Library : 1-hour Virtual Tour – Grades 6+ During Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month, students in grades 6+, will have the opportunity to virtually tour the Hispanic Society Museum, located in NY. This museum contains objects of artistic, historic, and literary interest,” for the purposes of the “advancement of the study of the Spanish and Portuguese languages, literature, and history, and advancement of the study of the countries wherein Spanish and Portuguese are or have been spoken languages.” Reserve your spot below.

As a part of Microsoft’s Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month Programming, we are offering a number of Children’s book readings read aloud by persons from the Hispanic & Latinx community.

Join us as we listen to the book reading: Dancing Hands, by Margarita Engle & Rafael Lopez

This book tells the story of a little girl’s bravery, her musical talents, and important contribution towards equality in the arts. It’s based on the true story of Teresa Carreno, a child prodigy who played piano for Abraham Lincoln during the U.S. Civil War.

These events are designed for students K-3rd grade but are open to anyone who is interested in learning more about Hispanic & Latinx History.
