Join us for a celebration of pollinators and friends and find out what we can do to protect them and their habitat. This drop-in event is FREE and will take place on our Plaza; Garden admission is not included.*  RSVP is required.

  • Children’s craft table-  Children of all ages can make colorful butterflies by using their hands as templates for wings and a bamboo spoon for body.  All supplies are provided and table hosts will be present to help if needed.
  • Information table about the butterfly life cycle-  Observe butterflies for an up-close look to see their different stages of metamorphosis.
  • Interactive table with friendly snakes- Slithery snakes are just as critical as pollinators to maintain the balance in ecosystems.  Learn how these reptiles play an important role in biodiversity and get a close-up of an unique python.

*Additional Info: Garden admission is free for Members but regular Garden admission fees will apply for non-members and is $10 for adults (13 and up), $8 for seniors, and children 12 and under are always free. In order to maintain proper social distancing, capacity will be limited and a timed entry RSVP ticket is required. The Garden has limited parking and if we are at capacity when you arrive you may be asked to return at a later time. Masks are required for all unvaccinated visitors. We’re following the health safety guidelines, provided by Contra Costa Health Services.
