Introduction to Swift Coding | Bascom Lib

Today: Introduction to Swift Playgrounds Coding – Hour of Code at Bascom Library.
This is an introductory course to coding for youth, recommended ages 7 to 11. The program is designed to teach children the basics and purpose of coding and is designed for those with no prior knowledge of Swift Playgrounds/coding.
Programs will be hosted by our Teen volunteer (along with the assistance of our librarian), and it is a self-paced course. iPads will be on hand, or students may chose to bring their own iPad (or laptop) from home. Please ensure your device is updated with the latest software and Swift Playgrounds is downloaded. Unfortunately, iPads are to be used for the class only while onsite and not available for checkout; however, please feel free to request other SJ Access devices available through San Jose Public Library.
