BGR! Book Club May Workshop: A discussion with Haben Girma + inclusive design workshop (60min)
In this BGR! Book Club event, we sit down with Haben Girma to discuss her amazing personal journey from isolation to world stage.
Haben will talk with BLACK GIRLS ROCK! ambassadors, Nia and Imani Page about the impacts of ableism, the complexity of identity, and the importance of advocating for people of all abilities.
Haben Girma is the first Deaf/blind graduate of Harvard Law School.
The interview will be followed by a 20-minute workshop on inclusive design thinking for students to put these powerful ideas into practice.
