Music@Menlo Free Concerts for Families

Do you love chamber music?  By definition, Chamber Music is classical music that is performed with a small group of musicians.  Each performer plays one part (i.e. just one violin player instead of 2 or more as in an orchestra).  Chamber music is just music composed for enough performers to fit in a chamber (a large room).

Music@Menlo is an internationally acclaimed chamber music festival and Institute in the Bay Area. The festival takes place July-August with concerts,  master classes, and informal discussion events.  Two of these concert series: the Young Performers Program and Koret Young Performers are great for families with kids (ages 10 and up).

  1. Prelude Performances and Koret Young Performers concerts are free.  Tickets can be requested online beginning at 9 am the day of the performance or at the concert location, 1 hour before the performance begins.
  2. Koret Young Performers are really young!  The performers are between the ages of 9 and 18.
