MLB is looking for locations for 2018 Major League Baseball Jr. Home Run Derby.
Major League Baseball Jr. Home Run Derby is a FREE program providing boys and girls age 14 and under the opportunity to showcase their hitting skills to swing their way to the title of Junior Home Run Derby National Champion.

Winners of Local and Regional Competitions will ultimately compete at the National Finals during Major League Baseball All-Star Week.

This Breakfast with Santa generally sells out quickly, so here are the details. More Breakfast with Santa dates this week!
Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet while surrounded by holiday cheer in the warmth of the Fairmont’s Club Regent Room. Kids can participate in several of our arts & crafts projects as Santa makes his way around the room providing individual attention to each group. In 2017 our event will be held on Saturday, December 9. The event runs from 9:00am to 11:30am.
NEW FOR 2017! This year’s ticket price includes ice skating at Downtown Ice and a four-pack of rides at Winter Wonderland for both kids and adults. These tickets may be used the day of the Breakfast or any other day during the 2017 season that is open to the public. BONUS: All child tickets purchased will receive a special gift (an actual stuffed bear) from Build-A-Bear Workshop! Children under 2 years of age on December 9, 2017 will be admitted free with advanced notice and the purchase of at least one adult admission.

Lindsay Wildlife is Looking for Teen Volunteers – DTA is Nov. 15

Lindsay Wildlife has a new program for teens, “Keepers in Training”. In the program, teens age 15-17 are able to learn first-hand what it takes to be an animal keeper during this four-month program.

To enhance and demonstrate their experience, these teens complete a project that spotlights all they learn through the KIT program. This is a great opportunity to learn leadership, job skills and will look good on college applications!

Major League Baseball Jr. Home Run Derby is a FREE program providing boys and girls age 14 and under the opportunity to showcase their hitting skills to swing their way to the title of Junior Home Run Derby National Champion.

 

Winners of Local and Regional Competitions will ultimately compete at the National Finals during Major League Baseball All-Star Week.

This Breakfast with Santa generally sells out quickly, so here are the details. More Breakfast with Santa dates this week!

 

Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet while surrounded by holiday cheer in the warmth of the Fairmont’s Club Regent Room. Kids can participate in several of our arts & crafts projects as Santa makes his way around the room providing individual attention to each group. In 2017 our event will be held on Saturday, December 9. The event runs from 9:00am to 11:30am.

 

NEW FOR 2017! This year’s ticket price includes ice skating at Downtown Ice and a four-pack of rides at Winter Wonderland for both kids and adults. These tickets may be used the day of the Breakfast or any other day during the 2017 season that is open to the public. BONUS: All child tickets purchased will receive a special gift (an actual stuffed bear) from Build-A-Bear Workshop! Submissions are now being accepted for the Teen One-Act Festival!

Explore the creative and collaborative elements of theatre-making with the Teen One-Acts Festival. Every year two original plays are written, performed, directed, designed, and produced by Bay Area high school students. Teens build two world premieres from the ground up, while being mentored by Berkeley Rep professionals.

PBWC Scholarship Application Now Open – DTA is Jan 31, 2018

Apply now for the PBWC (Professional Business Women of California) Scholarship. The annual conference includes an academic scholarship program recognizing a minimum of three high school seniors who are women and California residents. Scholarship amounts vary.

 

Winners must be present at the 2018 annual conference 4/24/18 to receive the award.  Application must be submitted electronically by midnight January 31, 2018.
