Guys and Dolls performed by the Los Altos Youth Theater.
Set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy. Gambler Nathan Detroit, tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, laments that they’ve been engaged for fourteen years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, for the dough, and Sky ends up chasing the strait-laced missionary, Sarah Brown, as a result. Guys and Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but even-tually everyone ends up right where they belong.
Content Advisory: LAYT productions feature youth performers ages 8 to 18, and are typically appropriate for audiences of all ages. If you have any questions about this particular production, please call the box office for more information at 650-941-0551.

We’re excited to welcome author-illustrator Angie Kang for a special storytime as she shares her beautiful new picture book, Our Lake at Linden Tree Books.
Today, Brother is taking me up to swim in the lake like Father used to.
I want to thank him for bringing us here, but I can’t find the words.
Instead, I loop my arms around his torso, and he does the same back.
Here, in our lake, the water holds us close. Ages 4 to 8, Grades P to 3.
