Today: 3D Modeling with TinkerCAD at Educational Park Library.
This program is recommended Ages 10+ Take the first steps towards using TinkerCAD, a free in-browser 3D modeling software! Learn the different ways to pan around the camera and get from one point to another on the work plane, see all the different categories of pre-made shapes already available to you, and learn how to align shapes with each other and combine them into one object. Use all of these new skills to make yourself 3D art and we will use a 3D printer to make it come to life! No previous experience in CAD (computer-aided drafting) is required, though you are expected to know how to operate a computer including downloading and opening files, starting programs, saving files, and navigating file systems. The class is scheduled for 2 hours if time is needed, but you’ll most likely finish a lot faster.
Once you are done with your creation, you are welcome to leave or create more! 10 spots available [due to in-house devices]. If you have your own laptop [external mouse recommended], you can attend even if on the waitlist. This program is free. Registration is required Parents and friends are welcome to watch. Only one sign-up per email. Click here to reserve your spot.

Today: Everyone Can Create: Mini Music Makers at Educational Park Library.
Recommended for kids ages 8+ years old. Teens, Adults, and Families welcome.
Everyone Can Create is a beginner’s course on drawing, sketching, and creating on the iPad. We will be using the GarageBand App.
Using the wonders of GarageBand, Mini Music Makers teaches students about creating a live loop grid using pre-recorded Apple Loops whether it’s from Apple or one of the Soundpacks available for free on the Apple Music Store. Students may record their own songs based on the way they proceed to use their live loop grid as well as record their own loops with the various instruments available to them. We will also teach them how to edit their loops and add effects to their loops to vary the sound made.
Everything needed for this course will be provided, but you are more than welcome to bring your own personal iPad with the app downloaded (especially if you want to keep your work).
Free. Please register. Walk-ins okay. Click here to reserve your spot.
