The annual Lighted Yacht Parade hosted by the Encinal and Oakland Yacht Clubs on the Oakland/Alameda Estuary. The event will benefit Alameda County Community Food Bank and Oakland Firefighters.
The parade will start between Wind River and the Fortman Marina’s public pier (the parade ‘staging area’). Starting at about 5:30 PM the boats will proceed down the Alameda side of the estuary past Encinal and Oakland Yacht Clubs.
Continuing down the Alameda side past Pasta Pelican, the boats will then cross to the Oakland side and pass by the Port of Oakland, and Scott’s Seafood. Next, the parade will turn to make its way past Grand and Fortman Marinas on the way back to the staging area at Wind River.

Come celebrate community tree planting and Arbor Day celebration at San Pablo Park.
Bring friends, join neighbors, meet City Parks Department staff and be part of the urban forest growing process. Get your hands dirty, learn about the collective of tree species and the role trees play in our environment:
- Cooling shade
- Clean air
- Create habitat for wildlife
- Healthier communities
- Natural beauty
- Climate-change resilience
The City tree planting coordinators will also be on site to take street tree planting requests to further beautify where we live and work. We’ll provide the tools, trees, guidance, and lunch. Volunteers please bring outdoor appropriate clothing (including closed-toed shoes) that can get a bit dirty in the grass and soil.
