Today: Imagination Builders

Budding engineers discover that the imagination is limitless at this exciting, hands-on event! Kids create and customize their own real-working vehicles, build a remote-control robot, craft action-packed marble mazes and more! No need to reserve your spot—just come on in.

Family Bird Walk Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge

Join us on a Fun, Family, Feathered Bird Walk

Let family walks become a shared time of nature learning. We’ll begin by helping kids create their personal bird watching field guides, and then head out onto the trails to find those birds.

  • A limited number of binoculars are available to borrow.
  • Recommended for children ages 5-10.
  • RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.
  • Extreme conditions will cancel the program.

Tickets are free but are in very limited numbers. If you are not able to attend, please cancel through this website and someone on the waitlist will be notified. You can also call 510-377-5659 for help and more information.

2023 OMCA White Elephant Sale at OMCA Warehouse

Oakland White Elephant Sale

This year the final Blow Out Sale dates are March 4 – 5, 2023.  Free admission and 50% most items on Sunday. 90,000 square feet of shopping bliss!  Clothing for everyone in the family plus wedding dresses, prom wear and tuxedos. Sporting goods, art pieces, holiday cards and electronics.  Kitchen goods, jewelry, shoes, furniture, garden and patio.

Admission to the White Elephant Sale on March 4-5, 2023 is free but reservations are required and only 2000 shoppers allowed per day. Tickets for these days will be available on the site in late January.

Come early, wear comfortable shoes and see for yourself why the White Elephant Sale has become Northern California’s biggest and best rummage sale. To get a head start on shopping, click here to print a copy of the warehouse map. Have fun and good luck shopping.

The parade starts just before the Main Street Bridge and proceeds south ending at Abbie Street.

Tree Lighting Ceremony: 6:45 pm
(*Time is approximate – tree lighting takes place shortly after the parade). Includes Musical Entertainment, Tree Lighting by the Mayor, and Special Appearance by Santa.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony will follow the parade at the Pleasanton Arch on Main Street.”
