Theater in the Park | The Sea Fairies

Peninsula Youth Theatre - Theatre in the Park 2024

Today: The Sea Fairies at Loyola Elementary Outdoor Stage.

Plot: One day while walking along the beach with her friend Cap’n Bill, Mayre “Trot” Griffiths expresses her wish to see a mermaid. Upon hearing her, the nearby mermaids grant her wish, explaining to her that the “sea fairies” offer her a chance to experience their world. The Sea Fairies then take Mayre and Cap’n Bill on adventures under the sea that they never would have imagined.

Every Friday from Fridays June 14 – August 2, 2024, the Peninsula Youth Theatre presents FREE children’s theatre in the park all summer long.

Bring the kids, a snack, and a blanket to sit on for a fun way to end the week for the whole family.

Today: Rumplestiltskin at Loyola Elementary Outdoor Stage.

Plot: Hoping to appear more powerful in the eyes of the King, a poor miller tells the King that his daughter has a gift and can spin straw into gold. Upon hearing this, the King locks up the miller’s daughter so that no one in the land can use her gifts aside from him. In truth, a small, peculiar man named Rumpelstiltskin spins the straw. The miller’s daughter promises him her firstborn child if he will spin the straw for her. Will the King find out the truth? Will the miller’s daughter keep her promise?

Plot: Four aging farm animals – a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster – leave their farms to become musicians in Bremen and enjoy life. However, they find a den of thieves and decide to outsmart them. Will the farm animals be able to escape the thieves? Will they ever make it to Bremen?
