This overnight hackathon is held at the Quinlan Community Center from April 13, from 6 p.m. to April 14, ending at about 10:30 a.m.
This 13-hour overnight hackathon for 13 to 18-year-olds prompts teams to solve a secret problem unveiled at the opening ceremony. Teams will have the night to create a solution to the problem. This event is an excellent opportunity for teens to destress, socialize, and flex their coding skills.
Please note that this event is a lock-in, if you leave the premises at any point in the evening you will not be allowed back in.

Join the STEM Club at Edenvale Branch Library, presented by Leland High School’s Women in STEM!
This four-session series is an introduction to various scientific subjects. Participants will get hands-on introduction to topics such as ecosystems, static electricity, the human body, and atoms. Each topic will engage in an activity that will prove different theories.
Recommended for ages 8-13. Free.

Make your own sidewalk chalk with take-home kit! Children and their families are invited to stop by the Educational Park Branch Library and pick up a STEAM activity to take home (while supplies last).

Join us at Chabot Space & Science Center for Rocketfest, a day dedicated to celebrating the incredible achievements of rocketry. Discover the fascinating world of rockets and the feats of engineering that propel us to send satellites into orbit, study Earth’s upper atmosphere, and eventually send humans to other planets.
There are activities for all ages, including:
The chance to explore a rocket-making kit with San Francisco State University’s Rocket Club,
Participating in a “Ask a Rocket Scientist” Q&A session with Astra, and
Building model rockets with the Livermore Unit of the National Association of Rocketry.
Join us for a fun-filled day featuring multiple hands-on activities throughout the Center and leave inspired by jet propulsion and modern feats of engineering.
Rocketfest ticket prices: $30 for adults, $25 for youth 2-12, $25 for students and seniors, and children under two are free. Chabot members are free.
