NCBW-SVC: Girls’ STEAM Day 2022!! Join us for a STEAM event focusing on empowering 4-8 grade girls of color to set their paths in science, technology, engineering, and math. Students will engage in hands-on activities and hear directly from professionals across diverse STEAM career fields. Breakfast and lunch will be served. FREE to all girls. The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Silicon Valley Chapter, in conjunction with the San Jose Earthquakes, presents: *A photographer will be present during Girl’s STEAM Day. Parents/Guardians will need to sign a video/photo consent form on the day of the event. NCBW-SVC: Girls’ STEAM Day 2022 STEAM day is a full day event with one or more of our Silicon Valley Corporate Sponsors for an onsite day of activities that include hands on STEAM activities for the students, presentations and talks include subject matter from our corporate sponsor and community experts, talks and informational chats with elected officials, parent information sessions/training, social media safety presentations and other activities. Every single applicant for our P:SMT Scholarships is asked to attend this event as a part of their requirement for consideration of the scholarship opportunity and is able to attend this event, free. The girls are delighted when seeing so many young women their age in one place who are all interested in STEAM. In addition to the opportunity to build new friendships and build a love of all things STEAM, this event is incredibly empowering both to the girls and to their parents/guardians as well!

Let’s build a rocket to launch or learn about amazing polymers by making a special type of goo. Most classes produce a fun project to take home and continue the discoveries.

Cost
$10 per adult/child combo; $5 per each additional person. Ages 3 and up. Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
