Redwood City, its Parks Recreation and Community Services Department, and partner Redwood City International will be hosting the Annual Lunar New Year Celebration!
City Officials and Staff will be joined by lion dancers, martial artists, taiko drummers, and other live performances, for this celebration of the Year of the Dragon.
Plus, folks can enjoy FREE ADMISSION to the San Mateo County History Museum where they can find FREE Kids Arts and Crafts!

Celebrating Lunar New Year in SF: Year of the Rabbit
Ring in the Year of the Rabbit with fun festivities, culinary delights, and cultural performances during the Lunar New Year Celebration in Thrive City. Join a multicultural celebration filled with wishes for health, luck, and prosperity throughout the new year! RSVP while supplies last.
Registration does not guarantee admission. Space is limited and subject to availability. First come, first served.

Gather with us at OMCA for our annual Lunar New Year Celebration. Celebrate and honor Lunar New Year traditions through family-friendly storytelling, performances, activities, and more. Come together to uplift AAPI communities and explore the shared connections between Asian cultures of the Bay Area.
OMCA Admission is $19 for adults. Kids 12 and under FREE.

Hakone Estate and Gardens will celebrate the Chinese “Year of the Dragon” at its annual Lunar New Year Festival on February 3, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Celebration includes

Children’s Costume Parade
Hakone will continue its beloved annual tradition of hosting a children’s lunar festival costume parade in the garden at 1:30, where children 12 and under wear festive Asian outfits and receive a souvenir gift (parents must register their children by noon). Other kid’s activities will round out the afternoon, from face painting to crafts.
Admission Fee: Adult (18 – 64) $12 | Seniors (65+) $10 | Kids (5 – 17) $8
