Hakone Estate and Gardens will celebrate the Chinese “Year of the Dragon” at its annual Lunar New Year Festival on February 3, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Celebration includes

Children’s Costume Parade
Hakone will continue its beloved annual tradition of hosting a children’s lunar festival costume parade in the garden at 1:30, where children 12 and under wear festive Asian outfits and receive a souvenir gift (parents must register their children by noon). Other kid’s activities will round out the afternoon, from face painting to crafts.
Admission Fee: Adult (18 – 64) $12 | Seniors (65+) $10 | Kids (5 – 17) $8

On Family Fun Days, myths and tales from Asia come alive with storytelling in the galleries, followed by hands-on art activities led by the museum’s Art Speak interns.
Family Fun Day happens on the first Sunday of every month, when general admission to the museum is free. Themes and projects change regularly, so join us every month for this fun and engaging program!

Cupertino Village will welcome the will welcome the Year of the Dragon with a fun-filled Lunar New Year celebration.
During the event, which will take place on the lawn between 99 Ranch Market and Tofu Plus, there will be traditional lion and dragon dancers each accompanied by a talented drum troupe, a calligrapher translating English names into Chinese on beautiful silk fans, martial arts exhibitions, and a selfie spot featuring a creative Lunar New Year backdrop with a traditional brass gong.
Attendees will also be treated to culturally themed candies (while supplies last).
This event is free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required.
