Family Nature Adventures at Chabot Space Museum

Join us for Family Nature Adventures! Every month will feature a different theme where we will dive into different topics like insects, forest animals, and trees. Each exploration includes a hands-on workshop with access to scientific tools and instruments, a simple snack, and a brief nature walk through the forest.

Families with children: $25 Adults, $15 Youth 3+

Coyote Creek Habitat Day | Anderson Lake CP

Join us for Coyote Creek Habitat Day for a day of free family-friendly activities that will showcase the wildlife connected with Coyote Creek.

  • Discover the people and animals who have made their homes along Coyote Creek as well as how we can protect this important habitat in today’s changing environment.
  • Discover the history and science through hands-on family activity stations Connect with the Coyote Creek habitat by taking a guided walk.
  • Participate in a community science exploration along the creek.

The event will take place at Coyote Creek Visitor Center at Anderson Lake County Park. Admission is free. Please consider walking, biking, or carpooling as parking is limited.

Swirling Snakes | Hellyer Visitor Center

With the arrival of spring, snakes are becoming more active in Santa Clara County Parks.

Stop by the Hellyer Park Visitor Center to learn how these animals are adapted for the environment, create your own spiral snake craft, and meet some real snakes that live in our Visitor Center.

No signups required, just show up to the Visitor Center anytime between 11am-2pm.

Best for ages 6+. A $6 parking fee is required.
