Make your own paper ROCKET with this take-home STEAM kit! Children and their families are invited to stop by the Seven Trees Branch Library Information Desk and pick up a STEAM activity to take home (while supplies last).

Today: Virtual Korean Lotus Lantern Craft at Calabazas Library
Hosted by the Calabazas Branch Library Join us for a special workshop to make a stunning Korean Lotus Lantern. Learn the history behind the lantern as you create it. Representatives from the Korean Spirit and Cultural Promotion Project will be joining us to lead the workshop and share information about Korean culture and history. Presented in partnership with KSCPP. Good for ages 10 to adult. Grab & Go supplies are available for pick-up to the first 30 participants to sign-up and pick-up at the Calabazas Branch only between May 17-24. Registration is required to receive a link and password. Deadline to sign-up will be 1 hour before the program begins. Links and passwords will be emailed at least 30 minutes before the program. The virtual room will open 3 minutes before the program begins. We do recommend everyone “arrive” at least 10 minutes before the program to ensure you are able to enter the “room”. If you do not receive an email with the program link at least 30 minutes before the program begins, please check your spam and other folders. If still unable to find it, please use the Chat to ask a team member for help. For those under 18 years of age who may be joining us, we recommend that a parent/legal guardian be with you during the meeting. Today: Learning Peace Through the Art of Storytelling and Creativity at Alum Rock Library
Alum Rock Branch Library’s Family Learning Center (FLC) in partnership with Housing Arts N’ Development Services (HANDS), and the Santa Clara County Division of Equity and Diversity, welcome students (grades 3rd-7th) to participate in this creative arts storytelling series! Students will interpret storytelling though artistic mediums (writing, song, poetry, dance, creative arts and storytelling) on 4/26, 4/27, 4/28 & 4/30 from 3-5 PM. There will be a Celebration Showcase on Thursday, 5/14 from 12-2 PM and student art work will be displayed during the Program Showcase. Students will be encouraged to invite their parents and friends. This event is also open to the public. Event limit 25 students.
