Have a fun afternoon exploring jazz and improvisation with the Bay Area’s best female jazz musicians and educators — for free at Stanford Jazz Workshop JazzGirls Day! Click here to RSVP.
Directed by Sarah Cline, the award-winning band director at Berkeley High School, JazzGirls Day is open to female, female-identified, and gender non-conforming musicians in middle school and high school.
Instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome. At the end of the afternoon, you’ll be able to play or sing better, you’ll have more experience with jazz improvisation, and you’ll have made lots of new jazz friends from all around the Bay Area!
We encourage all participants to register in advance, so that we can make sure to have the ideal number of faculty artists on hand. But you can just show up and you’ll be welcome — make sure to bring your instrument!
