Stars Aligned Siblings is an all-sibling string quartet ages 8, 11, 13, and 14 years old.
Dustin (violin), Valery (violin), Colin (viola) and Starla (cello) will present a night of chamber music that will delight and inspire audiences of all ages.
Stars Aligned Siblings are taught in the Heifetz tradition of chamber music playing by Ayke Agus, violin protégé and accompanist of the legendary, Jascha Heifetz.
Today: Marcus Shelby Orchestra | SFJazz Family Matinee
In celebration of the beginning of the 2024 baseball season, the Marcus Shelby Orchestra will present excerpts from Shelby’s Black Ball: The Negro Leaguesand the Blues, a suite that honors the history of Black baseball. The music includes songs, text, and instrumental compositions about Satchel Paige, Rube Foster, Effa Manley, Jackie Robinson, Toni Stone, barnstorming territory bands, umpires, and much more.
Concertgoers should expect surprises, including clowns, video, and physical comedy. Baseball fans are encouraged to wear their favorite baseball jersey!
