Affordable Internet at Home for Eligible Households

Internet Essentials is Comcast’s community program to get internet to families (plus seniors, and community college students in certain areas). Comcast has expanded the program to where ever Comcast offers service.

If you qualify for the program, you can also purchase a Windows 10 laptop or desktop computer with Microsoft Office installed for $150.

Did you know that here in the Bay area, in cities like Palo Alto about 94% of the households have broadband. But in Trenton, New Jersey, and Flint, Michigan – where poverty rates are way above the national average – 60% or more of households do not have fixed broadband at home – that is, less than half are connected. Smithsonian Free Museum Day September 21 – Get Your Tickets Now

Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day is an annual event where museums and attractions all across America offer free tickets to visit.

Tickets must be printed/downloaded from the Smithsonian Museum Day site. Get your tickets early as the site becomes very busy on the Friday before.

Kids Get in Free in September at Oakland A's home games

For each regularly priced individual game ticket purchased, adults can add up to two additional free tickets valid for use only by children age 12 and younger (subject to availability).

Cannot be combined with any other offer. Limit (2) per adult ticket. Kids Free tickets may not be transferred or resold.

Special dates in September for kids.

Fireworks Night: Each fireworks night will have a theme, set to music from that theme.

Kids can run the bases following every Sunday game

Great America Free Pre-K Kids Passes Now Available

The Pre-K Pass is FREE for kids ages three to five years old and includes unlimited visits for the entire 2019 AND 2020 season.

With your Pre-K Pass, your child can come and go as often as you’d like all season – for FREE.

Why you should jump on this now? If your child is 5 years old now, but turning 6, you can still get the FREE Pre-K pass for them as long as you activate it before your child turns 6.

Which means, do it now and your child can get free admission to CA Great America through the end of the 2020 season.

Each spring, 100 exceptional young people arrive at the Disney Dreamers Academy with ambition, excitement and hopes for the future. Four days later, they return home with the motivation, guidance and skills to help make those dreams come true.

Readers ages 12-18 can vote online for up to three titles from the 25 nominees to determine the winners.

Voting is open through October 15.

Find the books at your local library (or Overdrive, Amazon, BN). My teen and I have already 2 and are on our 3 book on the list of 25. The books cover different topics and include graphic novels.
