What is Headspace? Headspace is an app with guided meditations, animations, articles and videos, all in the distinct Headspace style.

Barnes & Noble National Children’s Short Story Contest! Ages 6-12

Barnes & Noble is launching a Children’s Short Story Contest to give young writers a chance to become published authors!
Fifteen select entrants will be published in a book sold exclusively at Barnes & Noble this holiday season, with a portion of the proceeds going to charity. In addition, our fifteen winners and fifteen runners-up will get a signed copy of Writing Magic: Creating Stories that Fly from bestselling author Gail Carson Levine to encourage their talents and better develop their craft with practical and heartfelt advice.
Deadline for Submission is May 29, 2020.

Lakeshore Learning: Free resources to download. A variety of lessons and activities-from simple educational crafts to printable worksheets. Create your own writing templates, flash cards, leveled word searches, and award templates to recognize children’s accomplishments
DreamWorks Activity Center: DreamWorks has put together a collection of at home activities from crafts to games to recipes for kids of all ages. Search by activity type, characters or movies.

New Look Up Tool for Meals, Groceries, Diapers, Information

Four things that you can find at the Silicon Valley Strong website:
1) A meal distribution lookup tool in which residents can enter their address to find free food within 1-10 miles.
The site includes meals for kids, groceries, and food for seniors.
2) A resources map, provided by First 5 Santa Clara County, for locating diapers, health center information and food assistance.
3) A Chat Bot to help visitors find what they’re looking for on the site.
4) “Get Internet” button to find low-cost internet and affordable computers in the area. The information includes Comcast’s Internet Essentials plus other special offerings.
SiliconValleyStrong.org is a hub for all types of information from mental health to information on rent, job resources and aid. The information is available in 8 different languages.
