Lindsay Wildlife is Looking for Teen Volunteers – DTA is Nov. 15

Lindsay Wildlife has a new program for teens, “Keepers in Training”. In the program, teens age 15-17 are able to learn first-hand what it takes to be an animal keeper during this four-month program.

To enhance and demonstrate their experience, these teens complete a project that spotlights all they learn through the KIT program. This is a great opportunity to learn leadership, job skills and will look good on college applications!

MLB is looking for locations for 2018 Major League Baseball Jr. Home Run Derby.

 

Major League Baseball Jr. Home Run Derby is a FREE program providing boys and girls age 14 and under the opportunity to showcase their hitting skills to swing their way to the title of Junior Home Run Derby National Champion.

 

Winners of Local and Regional Competitions will ultimately compete at the National Finals during Major League Baseball All-Star Week.

Councilmember Sergio Jimenez of District 2 in San Jose is looking for college or graduate school students interested community engagement, public service, policy research and local government to apply for our District 2 Internship.

 

This unpaid internship provides students with an immersive experience in day-to-day operations of a city council office that serves almost 100,000 residents.

This Breakfast with Santa generally sells out quickly, so here are the details. More Breakfast with Santa dates this week!

 

Enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet while surrounded by holiday cheer in the warmth of the Fairmont’s Club Regent Room. Kids can participate in several of our arts & crafts projects as Santa makes his way around the room providing individual attention to each group. In 2017 our event will be held on Saturday, December 9. The event runs from 9:00am to 11:30am.

 

NEW FOR 2017! This year’s ticket price includes ice skating at Downtown Ice and a four-pack of rides at Winter Wonderland for both kids and adults. These tickets may be used the day of the Breakfast or any other day during the 2017 season that is open to the public. BONUS: All child tickets purchased will receive a special gift (an actual stuffed bear) from Build-A-Bear Workshop!
