Open Cockpit Days at Oakland Aviation Museum

A Special Day of Fun at Oakland Aviation Museum.
Sit in a Korean War MiG-15 and feel what it would have been like to fly for the “other side” in America’s first war of the Jet Age.
Get a glimpse of the training involved for Naval Flight Officers in the 1970s in our Navy A-6 simulator trailer.
Imagine yourself taking off and landing on a carrier deck in the Navy A-3 Sky Warrior.
Activities during Open Cockpit Day include*:

Flight Simulators*
Live music by The Friends of Ken Band
BBQ Booth hosted by Liberty Masonic Lodge of Santa Clara (proceeds benefit local charities)
Diablo Pacific Short Line Model Railway exhibit
ORCH Ham Radio exhibit and demonstration
R.C. Aircraft display by Southern Alameda County Radio Controllers

Open Cockpit Hours: 12 Noon – 4pm
Admission: Adults $18; Seniors (55+) $15; Military/Teen $13; Children 5-12 $10; Children Under 5 – Free
