Today: Grab & Go: Adoptable Art with Palo Alto Humane Society at Joyce Ellington Library

San Jose Public Library and Palo Alto Humane Society will partner to offer this 5 virtaul session program series. Age 10-12 required to attend. Attendance to all 5 VIRTUAL sessions required. Adoptable Art fosters awareness of animal welfare through the medium of artwork. Young people are introduced (virtually) to animals in a shelter and are possibly given a virtual tour of a local animal shelter. Under the guidance of an art educator, the students will create artistic renditions of their partner animal. At the completion of the program series, the student artworks will be collected at the same branch and possibly displayed or posted on social media by Palo Alto Humane Society. See guidelines for more details. Online registration required to pick-up supplies June 13-20 at the Joyce Ellington Branch only. First 25 signed up and to pick up the supplies will qualify for this program. Registration doesn’t guarantee supplies. Submission of final art piece will be required anytime between June 24 to July 9 at the Joyce Ellington Branch only for a chance to win a gift card. Registration is required to receive a link and password. Deadline to sign-up will be 1 day before the program begins.
