Holiday ice skating has returned to San Jose with Downtown Ice at the Circle of Palms. The ice skating rink is next to the Fairmont Hotel and the San Jose Museum of Art, and across the street from The Tech and Christmas in the Park. In addition, this year Downtown Ice will be open from November 16, 2018 to January 27, 2019.  Downtown Ice will become  “Championship Ice” Jan. 4-7 for the CFP Championship Game on Jan 7th, and will be open until Jan 27 for the NHL All Star Game at SAP Center.

Srce: Jr. Ranger The Junior Ranger Program is a great way to get your kids (both boys and girls) outdoors and into a free, safe, and fun program! Programs take place in several Santa Clara County Parks each spring and fall for kids ages 9-11 (usually 4th-5th grade). Junior rangers explore park history and nature through outdoor adventures with park staff. Students who successfully complete the program earn a badge and certificate!    Fall dates begin Sept 4, 2018. Apply now.   Also, I could not find a requirement that you be a resident of Santa Clara County to apply.
