Today: Baby Lapsit Storytime at King at Dr. MLK, Jr. Library. This program is for babies that are not yet walking confidently, and their caregivers.
Baby Lapsit invites newborns, infants, babies, and their caregivers to learn together by strengthening their relationship with each other through stories, songs, bounces, tickles, rhymes, books, and play.
After Storytime concludes, we invite you to Stay & Play! Some special toys and the Storytime librarian will join in the fun, giving babies and parents time to connect. Lapsit Storytime 11:00-11:20am Stay & Play 11:20-11:50am . Free. Attendance limits follow SJPL guidelines.

Today: Reading to Children at West Valley Library.
Our library volunteer Ms. Betty will be available in the children’s picture book area to read picture books to children. Children will have fun listening to stories while they develop a love for books and reading. Pre-registration is not required, and children may drop in to hear a story any time during the program. This program is best suited for preschoolers and children in grades K-3.

Today: Reading to Children in Japanese at West Valley Library.
Preschool age children and their parents/caregivers are invited to the West Valley Branch Library for Reading to Children in Japanese. Every Thursday at 11:00 AM, children will enjoy early literacy activities such as stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement activities all in the Japanese language.
This program is brought to the library by Poponta Children’s Cultural Society. Established in 2008 and based in San Mateo, Poponta is comprised of a group of volunteers dedicated to serving the Japanese-speaking community. Join us for Frozen Story Time with Broadway San Jose!
Hicklebee’s is hosting a special Frozen Story Time on Saturday, Aug. 3 at noon with participation from Broadway San Jose, who is presenting the national tour of Disney’s Frozen.
Come in costume as your favorite character and help us turn the store into Arendelle. Story-time attendees will be entered into a drawing for a four-pack of tickets.
