$500 Grants for Kids K-12  – Sustainability Grants

This program provides monetary grants up to $500 to Cupertino-area students in grades K-12 to assist them in discovering, promoting, and implementing programs or projects that combat climate change and assist the City in reducing greenhouse gas emissions as referenced in Cupertino’s Climate Action Plan.

Applicants need not reside in the City of Cupertino, however, the impact of the program/project should reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Cupertino.

The deadline to apply is Friday,November 15, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.

Free ‘Stand Up to Anxiety’ Screening of ANGST

To help address the growing crisis of anxiety affecting young people, IndieFlix and the newly-formed Z-Cares Foundation is hosting a free screening of the national documentary Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety.

The film features a special interview with world-renowned athlete and mental health advocate Michael Phelps as well as tweens, teens and parents sharing deeply personal stories about the impact of anxiety on their own lives.

The event is free and open to the public. The goals are to discuss how to begin breaking the stigma of anxiety, to empower parents to connect with their kids and young people to seek the assistance they need.
For ages 10 and older.
