A power trio of vocalists backed by an all-female band pays tribute to a flagship of civil rights progress that was launched by the formative work of three 20th-century African American women jazz artists.
Janhe anthemic songs of Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, and Nina Simone defied social norms and today continue to inspire a generational movement for greater equality and self-empowerment for women, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community.

Free, interactive workshop in sound recording for female/gender-expansive students ages 13-18
This hands-on workshop will introduce girls and gender-expansive youth ages 13-18 to the ever-evolving art and science of the recording arts. Topics will include microphone placement, signal flow, and effects processing.
Ideal for musicians of all levels and abilities; no sound recording experience is necessary.
But mostly, the girls will have a great time celebrating their music!
