San Mateo County History Museum hosts its FREE First Fridays Program on the first Friday of every month.
Museum admission is free all day, from 10am to 4pm. Each month, other programs are held for children and adults, including crafts, story times, docent-lead tours and more.
At 11 a.m., preschoolers can make a craft and hear a story. At 2 p.m., there will be a free general tour of the History Museum.For specific information on what events and programs are happening each month, visit the museum’s site.

In the evening, enter a dazzling world of holiday cheer as immersive displays and historic, natural beauty bring magic to returning favorites and new experiences.
Daytime Admission ends at 3:30pm with last entry at 3pm.
Filoli closes fully to guests from 3:30-4pm to prepare for evening admission.

Santa Claus is coming to town!
Snap a selfie with Santa on his festive golden throne on the Woodland Garden Court from 10am-4pm.
On these Saturdays, Santa’s visiting Filoli and his sleigh is filled with fun for the whole family!

Continue the tradition, and join us for our annual Holiday Train aboard the Wildcat Railroad through the enchanting Fantasy of Lights set up in Vasona Park.
Holiday Train | Billy Jones Railroad at Oak Meadow Park Schedule:
The Holiday Train will run Thursdays through Sundays from December 12th to January 5, 2025 (6:00 to 9:00 pm), excluding December 24th and 25th. All hours are weather permitting.
Holiday Train Tickets:
Train: $6 Carousel: $4. Children under age 3, free with paid adult.
Express Ticket: $9. Includes 1 train ride & 1 carousel ride.
