- Free every Saturday for Bay Area residents (all 9 counties!). Qualifying counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma.
- Free the first full weekend of each month with a BofA Bank of America ATM, credit or check card.
- Visitors ages 17 and under always receive free admission to the permanent collection galleries.
Free admission is to permanent galleries and special exhibitions. The de Young is two-fer. Admission to the de Young also gives you admission to the Legion of Honor (and vice versa).
Closed Christmas and Thanksgiving, but visit the site to confirm hours and if the museum is open.
