This year, more than any other, shopping small is the best thing you can do for your community! Main Street shops will be open late and there will be beautiful lights adorning the trees and shop windows to light your way to a happy holiday!
- Friday, December 1: Annual Lighted Parade and Santa Claus
The Annual Lighted Parade with Santa Claus starts around 6:15 — come early to stake out your spot! Santa will be in Mac Dutra Park after the parade. The Kid’s Zone will take place next to the park on Kelly with fun activities for kids of all ages. Parade Courtesy of Republic Services.
- December 8: Ugly Sweater Party

“There’s room for everyone on the Nice List!” Bring the whole family and join us in the Cunha’s Country Store parking lot for an outdoor screening of Elf, the holiday favorite starring Will Ferrell. Movie courtesy of Jupiter & Main.

Main Street shops will be open late and there will be beautiful lights adorning the trees and shop windows to light your way to a happy holiday!
- Friday, November 24: Christmas Tree Lighting and Decorating

The annual Lighted Yacht Parade hosted by the Encinal and Oakland Yacht Clubs on the Oakland/Alameda Estuary. The event will benefit Alameda County Community Food Bank and Oakland Firefighters.
The parade will start between Wind River and the Fortman Marina’s public pier (the parade ‘staging area’). Starting at about 5:30 PM the boats will proceed down the Alameda side of the estuary past Encinal and Oakland Yacht Clubs.
Continuing down the Alameda side past Pasta Pelican, the boats will then cross to the Oakland side and pass by the Port of Oakland, and Scott’s Seafood. Next, the parade will turn to make its way past Grand and Fortman Marinas on the way back to the staging area at Wind River.

There will be opportunities for families to take free photos with the cast before Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical opens at the San Jose Center for Performing Arts on November 28. Ticket Link
The Downtown Ice stop is free with admission. Get tickets for this skating session for a chance to snap a selfie with the Grinch and win tickets to the show.
