Cupertino Village will welcome the Year of the Snake with a fun-filled Lunar New Year celebration.
During the event, which will take place on the lawn between 99 Ranch Market and Tofu Plus, there will be traditional lion and dragon dancers each accompanied by a talented drum troupe, a calligrapher translating English names into Chinese on beautiful silk fans, martial arts exhibitions, and a selfie spot featuring a creative Lunar New Year backdrop with a traditional brass gong.
Children are invited to make their own swirling snake and magic painting during a special children’s craft activity (while supplies last) and will enjoy a special storytime with bilingual Mandarin and English readings of “Nian, The Chinese New Year Dragon” and “PoPo’s Lucky Chinese New Year” by a native speaker dressed in Lunar New Year attire.
