Are you tired of tearing into an awesome novel, but having no outlet to discuss your thoughts? Well, grab a snack and join us on the Third Saturday of odd months for the Evergreen YA/Teen Book Club! This club is for teens and is dedicated to exploring books and novels. Our bi-monthly meetings will be a casual social hour where we can discuss all things related to our chosen read. Planned Book Discussions May 20, 2022 – The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides July 23, 2022 – Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter Sept 17, 2022 – Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo Nov 19, 2022 – You’ve Reached Sam by Dustin Thao If you start the chosen book but don’t get a chance to finish, or decide not to for one reason or another, you are welcomed and encouraged to join in the meeting anyway – although, **spoiler alert**, there may be spoilers involved in our discussion! This book club is hosted by volunteers from the Evergreen Teens Reach and is open to any teen aged 13-18 that is interested in discussing our monthly read. Each session will be conducted in-person at Evergreen’s Community Room and live via Zoom. Registration is required. Registrants will receive a Zoom link to join the call by 1pm the day of the book club meeting. If you registered and have not received a Zoom link by 1pm the day of the meeting, please email Lucy Lu at Lucy.Lu@sjlibrary.org. You can also contact Lucy with any questions about this event. In-Person Program Guidelines: Masks are strongly recommended for all indoor programs for anyone ages 2+. Program capacity and set-up is determined by location and program type.
