Today: Virtual Valley Water: Plastic Voyages

Recommended for grades 3-5.  After a brief presentation, outlining the global issue of plastic waste, students will put their knowledge to the test during an interactive game.

Using common items from their own homes, students will identify and describe sources of marine debris, describe the potential effects of plastic waste on aquatic wildlife and habitat and identify specific actions we can all take to remedy the problem.

Supplies required: 3 small pieces of plastic; this can be anything found in the home.

Registration is required to receive a link and password.
