Unwrap the mysteries of ancient Egyptian mummification practices by exploring the Smithsonian special exhibit on Egypt.
By the end of the workshop students will have:
- Delve into the ancient secrets of mummification and learn about the rich history behind it.
- Learn how to write your name in ancient hieroglyphics with fun activities.
- Explore the many wonders of ancient Egypt, from the iconic pyramids to the legendary pharaohs who shaped history.
In this workshop, students ages eight and older are transported to Ancient Egypt right from their web browser using Microsoft technology.

This virtual workshop will require each attendant to have access to a computer with internet access in order to participate. Attendees under the age 18 must have a parent/legal guardian sign electronic participation agreement and be present while their child joins the workshop.
