STEAM – Forensic Chemistry for the Family | RWC Lib Online

October 24, 2020 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

A tablet has been stolen, the only clue is a white powder found at the scene of the crime. Your task is to determine what the powder is to solve the case! Learn how to use chemistry and the scientific process as you test materials and solve clues.

Developed for students 9-12 years old, but fun younger children with adult help. This program is provided in partnership with ACS.

Get ready for science, crafts and art all mixed up throughout the month. How It works:
1. Pick up materials at the back of the Downtown Library from 3:00pm – 5:00pm On Wednesday, October 21. With no-touch-delivery, staff will place kits in your car. Kits distributed while supplies last.
2. Join us live on Saturday, October 24 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM over Zoom using the QR code provided in the material kits.
3. Have fun! Our kits are packaged one week before delivery, allowing the kits to “self-isolate” before we “no-touch-deliver” them to you. We use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as outlined by San Mateo County Health from packaging to delivery of the kits.
