This course is an introduction to computer science using Scratch. Scratch is the computer programming language that makes it easy and fun to create interactive stories, games and animations and share them online.

Starting with the basics of using Scratch, the course will stretch your mind and challenge you. You will learn how to create amazing games, animated images and songs in just minutes with a simple “drag and drop” interface. No previous programming knowledge needed.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a virtual program that will meet online using Zoom on four Fridays (October 2, 9,16 and 23) from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM. Zoom is a web conferencing platform. In order to join the program using Zoom, participants must have access to a computer, tablet, or smart phone with a strong Internet connection. Instructions to join the Zoom meeting will be emailed to all registered participants prior to the class (when registering, please make sure to correctly enter your email address).
