Make Dot Art on Eucalyptus Bark | Gilroy Lib
November 27 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pmFree
Today: Children’s Program – Make Dot Art on Eucalyptus Bark at Gilroy Library
Have you ever painted on eucalyptus bark before? This is your opportunity to explore using a different type of canvas! Join us in the courtyard of the Gilroy library (enter through the doors off the children’s area) to make dot art on eucalyptus bark!
First, we will study the bark-feel the ridges, see the holes in the bark, and the color. Then, we will use q-tips to create a dot painting on the bark. Have fun creating pictures out of dots or explore making shapes or patterns using contrasting colors.
This is an outdoor activity. To encourage social distancing, there will be only one family per table. Several tables will be set up, but there may be a wait for a table. In case of rain, you will be provided with some materials to do a project at home. No registration is required.
Audience: Kids: Family Events, Kids: Grades 5-8, Kids: Grades K-8, Kids: Preschoolers Source
