Macro & Micro Economics | SJPL | Online
September 16, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until October 14, 2020
This 8 session series is designed to help children in grades 5 through 9 understand how economics works in the business world. In broad terms, economics is the study of how society manages its scarce resources.
In this course, we will be going over the fundamentals of micro and macroeconomics where we will learn about supply and demand, elasticity, indicators of the economy, and many more concepts; the concepts learned in class will be applied to real world topics, such as how the current pandemic has affected the economy at a deeper level, from both a micro and macro perspective.
Important information: please email Lisa Molson at email@example.com once your child is registered for the workshop to ensure they receive pertinent Zoom information. This is especially crucial for those last minute registrants. Participants should not register unless they are able to attend all 8 sessions (sessions will not be recorded so live participation is required to learn the material). Participants will be sent Zoom information a day before the first session. Registered participants who miss the first session may lose their spot in the program. Although participants’ video is turned off by default, it is encouraged (and strongly recommended) for active class participation. Participants will need access to WIFI and a laptop/computer and the class will be held through Zoom. Fifteen minutes prior to the class, please ensure your system’s audio is working properly. If interested, you can download or find out more information on Zoom software here. Online etiquette is expected and participants who interfere with the instructors’ presentation may be removed from the class. This event is run and sponsored by KoreKloud
