Today: Lunar New Year: Lion Dance & Craft at Almaden Library.
Celebrate the Lunar New Year at your neighborhood library! Shaolin Kungfu Zen, a local kung fu studio, will bring its students to share the lion dance with the community. Come and enjoy a special performance and learn its cultural significance. Join us for a fun craft making a chain snake to celebrate the new year or make cutouts of auspicious Chinese characters for the new year.
The program begins with crafts at 3:30 pm. Around 4:10 pm the lion dance will begin at the door. The festivities will wrap up around 4:30 pm. Free. No registration required. Audience: Kids, ages 5-10, Pre-Teens, ages 10-12, Young Children, ages 0-5 Source
