Today: Intro to Website Design with HTML/CSS for Tweens (in Person) at Bascom Library

This course is perfect for anyone from grades 5th to 8th with an interest in Web Design. No prior experience is required, as we will start with basics of HTML and CSS. Each week will focus on a specific topic and we will work through some challenges. Towards the end of the course, we will also create a final project using all the skills that we have acquired. PLEASE NOTE the following information regarding the workshop: Duplicate registration entries will be deleted. Important information: Participants needing a laptop and/or hotspot can reserve these items through San Jose Public Library’s (SJPL) website (additionally, borrowers will need a SJPL library card, please register here.) This course will have 6 hour-long in-person sessions which will be held Wednesdays, from 5pm to 6pm beginning October 12 and ending November 16. Participants must attend the first session to avoid being dropped from the course. Participants should not register unless they are able to attend all 6 sessions (sessions will not be recorded nor will teaching materials be shared, so live participation is required to learn the material). This is a very popular course with many on the waitlist, so please don’t enroll unless you plan on attending this in person class to allow others to register. Thank you!
