Getting Started with Savings & Investing (aka Why Invest?) | SJPL Virtual

- What is the difference between Savings and Investing and what are some of the reasons you would want to do both?
- The meaning of key concepts and basic terminology such as Simple vs Compound Interest, Diversification, P/E Ratio, Yield and more.
- The difference between Stocks, Funds, and Bonds. And free information sources to help you continue your financial education.
- You will also have a chance to ask questions with our presenters from the Silicon Valley Chapter of BetterInvesting – a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization founded in 1951 as the National Association of Investment Clubs (NAIC™) with a mission to educate individual investors and investment clubs to become successful lifelong investors – on why and how to start saving and investing.

Getting Started w/ Mutual Funds and Stocks
How to Start and Run an Investment Club
This program will be held online via Zoom. Please register and link and password will be sent to you in advance of the event. To protect the participants’ privacy, this meeting will not be recorded and participants will have option to rename themselves for the meeting.
