An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Saturday, repeating until December 31, 2020

Family Things to do in the San Francisco Bay area.

Tickets are free but REQUIRED!

  • Free every Saturday for Bay Area residents (all 9 counties!). Qualifying counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma. Saturdays are great days for families as there are kid/teen specific activities.
  • Visitors ages 17 and under always receive free admission to the permanent collection galleries.

Temporarily Suspended

  • Free the first Tuesday of each month for everyone. (temporarily suspended)
  • Free the first full weekend of each month with a BofA Bank of America ATM, credit or check card. (temporarily suspended)

Free admission is to permanent galleries and special exhibitions.

Closed Christmas and Thanksgiving, but visit the site to confirm hours and if the museum is open.
