Asian Art Museum – Free Admission Day
The first Sunday of each month admission to the Asian Art Museum is free (courtesy of Target). Admission to special exhibits is also reduced. Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to capacity restrictions, admission is not guaranteed.
Free Family Programs allow parents and children to discover Asian art and culture through storytelling and arts and crafts.
Featured Family Fun at the Asian Art Museum:
Discover artworks in the museum’s vast collection with self-guided gallery activities. Art Adventure Packs and Art Cards provide materials for looking, learning and doing. Explore and sketch in the galleries with the whole family.
You can borrow an Art Adventure Pack and set of Art Cards in Bowes South Court; ask volunteers at the information desk for more information.
stART Tour for kids ages 3–6: 10:30–11 AM
Docent Kids’ Tour for ages 7–10: 11–11:30 AM
Storytelling for families: 1–1:45 PM
Please note: Street parking is free on Sundays, making a visit to the museum both fun and affordable.
Museum Description: The Asian Art Museum–Chong-Moon Lee Center for Asian Art and Culture is home to a world-renowned collection of more than 18,000 Asian Art treasures spanning 6000 years of history.
Holiday Reminder: As the first weekend of the month will sometimes coincide with holidays (New Year’s Day, 4th of July) always confirm with the museum/attraction that it will be open.
